FS: Fred Rose Flute made of Rosewood - SOLD

Offered for adoption this morning is a rosewood Fred Rose flute. SOLD!

I believe Fred Rose flutes are one of the best deals in wooden flutedom!

It is made of lovely Rosewood, has excellent intonation and enough bark to stand up against most Pratten model flutes. The body is very thin and lithe (I don’t know of any D flute with a narrower body), which makes it a very fast handling flute. This also makes for a very light flute (5.4 oz, 153 gr. for comparison the Boxwood Burns Folk flute weighs 8.2 oz., 232 gr.), easy on the hands. The tone is rather pure and bright.

The flute is in immaculate shape, with only the darkening of the wood below the embouchure from the lip as evidence it has been played.
