FS: Fred Rose Blackwood D whistle

I am selling my Rose whistle. It is in excelent condition and is only a few months old. No cracks, scratches or blems. I am asking $200. I think they are about $340 US from Rose.

The Rose whistle has found a new home. Thanks everyone for your help.

Wow! I almost had time to think about it … now I can cut right to the chase and just be jealous.

How about my one of its kind Rose whistle in Pink Ivorywood? :smiling_imp:

SWEEEET!

One day there will be a confluence of an available Rose and spare cash in my pocket. I yearn for his day.

That’s just plain mean!

You think that’s mean? He brings that thing over to my house all the time and lets me play it and then takes it back home with him!.. Sheesh!

Doc

I weep. That’s the one whistle I kind of covet.

Okay, now this is just making me plain jealous. It was bad enough when someone got a Rose for only $200, but now a pink ivorywood Rose!!! And that pink ivory is a great tonewood…Charlie Kron has a set of GHBs he made from it and claims it’s the nicest sounding set he’s ever made. It’s just hard to get someone to take you seriously when you’re playing a set of pink bagpipes, though.

Well, I guess a very appropriate color for something called a Rose, when ya think on it.

I’m gonna have to contact Fred…I’ve got some amazing black walnut that I’ve been saving…

Dave

Mmm, Walnut…
