I’ve been asked to sell someone’s Fred Rose Blackwood in D. I’ve got it in my possession now and inspected it and it as new. Looks hardly played. The seller asks $300 and will pay shipping in the USA.

Ah, a Rose . . . the closest thing to a cure for WhOA that I’ve found
. I haven’t wanted another whistle since I got mine. Hope this one finds a good home.

I agree! Fred’s whistles have a very sweet, clear tone, and are very easy to play in terms of air requirements. They’re also very low maintenance for a blackwood whistle!
There are several tunes by Mick Woodruff on the Clips & Snips site using the Rose blackwood, for anyone who hasn’t heard one played. Or better yet, just go to his website…
