Re-posting in the FLUTE forum, well, because they’re all brand new Flute CDs.
I need to pull a Siamese mix cat from my colony for some dental work. It’s a nice, affectionate neutered male, with a bad drooling problem and a lesion or inflammation behind the lower right canine. I’m hoping the issue is gingivitis and can be resolved with just a cleaning, but may end up being worse (abscess, resorption requiring extraction, or squamous cell carcinoma). Anyway, I need to drum up some money for the vet, since treatment will at a minimum require anesthesia plus any other dental services.

The Siamese cat has been adopted, and has quickly settled into a new home with 3 other kitties. His only problems seem to have been bad teeth (no tumors), and he is healing from dental surgery. A very social and affectionate cat, and I’m glad he’s away from the dangers of the park. We like the colony cats to become friendly to the feeders, but not this friendly. Before he was captured, I saw him just head off a hundred yards straight up to a woman and child and start winding around their legs. He’d already eaten (so no motivation there), and they were strangers to him.
Thanks to everyone who has helped in bringing this to a successful conclusion.

Update on the Siamese cat: He’s doing well in his new home, living with 2 other cats. I was somewhat incorrect in the description of his treatment. 4 teeth were removed, and there WAS a tumour removed (benign, fortunately), with good margins, so it’s hoped there will be no return.
