Hi all,
I just posted this on the Used Instrument forum. If you are interested please PM me from that location.
I am selling my Michael Copeland Pratten-style flute. It is a blackwood /ebony 3-section flute in A440 D with six silver alloy keys and rings. It has a lined headpiece with a modified oval embouchure hole. All keys, pads, slide and corks are in fine condition. There are no cracks or any damage that I know of to the wood or liner. Michael told me last year that this flute was made somewhere between 1982 and 1984.
The flute has a full, warm tone and nice volume. I keep this flute very clean and it is recently oiled. It has been my “go-to” flute for over a year and is nice and stable from regular use. I really hate to part with it, but I have very small hands and I have recently found another flute with a more compact grip that is more comfortable for me to play, so I am putting the Copeland up for sale.
Price is $2500. I can make a Cavallaro case available for an extra $50 if you are interested.
Please PM me if you are interested. Please be patient if I am a little slow to reply, but I will get back to you.
