FS: Colin Goldie Baritone C

This has sat in the case and rarely played. Non-tunable whistle. It’s a beauty. It has no scratches or dents. Soft blower with powerful bottom end. Selling for $250.00. It could use a new home.

Edit: To be clear, this is being sold for a dear friend of mine. Instrument is in excellent condition.

PayPal preferred please.

I recently have had issues with my g-mail acct (outgoing messages). If any interest, please contact me here: irishpub51000@gmail.com

Thanks

The instrument is in my possession.

To be clear, Jason (moderator) is the person who posted the sale to this particular forum. We had issues posting to Exchange.

To interested parties: This is a very legitimate transaction. Not a scam. Serious buyers only please.

Thanks

The guideline you link to applies expressly to the UIE, not to the Whistle Forum, which has its own guidelines. Whatever they might have in common is incidental, since they are not considered interchangeable entities. From CCCP #6:

“Under special circumstances, 3rd-party sales in the UIE will be permissible ONLY IF 1) the poster takes on the full role of broker, fielding all matters such as communications, shipping, tax, and so on as proxy for the actual owner; 2) the poster gives full disclosure of his/her role as agent; and 3) gets moderator approval, which should also be declared in the sale. These strictures do not apply to sales in other forums outside the UIE, although moderator approval is probably still a good thing to have on your side.” (Underlining added by me to aid reader focus)

For questions regarding procedure, we recommend that members first contact a mod either by PM or flagging, rather than posting about it publicly (I think the reasoning behind that should be obvious, but if it’s not … PM me. ). Alternatively, the CCCP should be able to answer all that one might need to know about policy on one’s own. If there seems to be a discrepancy between the CCCP and another source, please let us know so that we can correct it, for it may have slipped our notice that the other source is outdated (you will discover that the UIE statement has now been brought parenthetically up to speed). Because it is kept the most current, the CCCP should be your go-to charter for questions about policy.

Hi!

Make me a “reasonable offer” and the Bass C is yours. Board rules will not allow me to accept private messages. Contact E-mail: irishpub51000@gmail.com .

Thank you

Also not true. This is the Whistle Forum, where no such rule applies. Good taste might call for using PMs, though.

Remember, in all the Board only one forum mandates replying by PM or email, and that is the UIE. Everywhere else - here included - things are pretty free-form.

Thanks for the clarification.

And now we have another clarification, because your original spelling had me misinterpreting your meaning. I thought (having to fill in for what looked like omissions, which happens) that you meant that the rules meant you could not conduct this sale except by PM, hence my reply. The answer stands, but doesn’t apply to your real, intended meaning. As someone who has gone thru the screening process, you now DO have PM privileges; the Board will accept it, pure and simple.

Such are the confusions that can arise when mixing “except” and “accept”. I’m not being a Grammar Nazi here, just explaining what happened.
