Since we’re all talking about Bryan’s flutes I’ll make the offer now. I’ll be selling some flutes from my collection – and lots of other things as well – to pay for land we bought in Ireland.
I am selling my Bryan Byrne keyless D flute in blackwood, in great condition, for $900 + $25 for shipping and insurance = $925. Silver head lining, silver rings. Bryan’s work is wonderful, and this flute plays beautifully.
My price on this lovely flute is firm. If you don’t like it I’ll refund your money less the cost of shipping. I’m in Ireland now and will be home tomorrow.
Thanks. Keep tooting.
David
David,
Sent both an email and PM – have a good trip.
Regards,
John
Congratulations on the land purchase!
Did they tell you Clare Co council refuses planning permission to non-locals who want to build in Clare? ![]()
But wasn’t it a bridge he bought? ![]()
Geeze, I can see that working regular hours again means I’m going to miss out on all the good flute deals! ![]()

Thanks everybody but the Byrne flute is sold.
David
Who’s the lucky new owner? Byrne flutes are phenomenal. I’ve gone through 11 flutes from different makers and have sold all but my Byrne and Olwell. They are quite different, but top notch all the same.

P.S. David I am planning a vacation over your way in August with my son assuming the Army doesn’t extend his stay in Iraq. Perhaps you could recommend some venues where we could soak up traditional music and partake in a few sessions. Coming from farming/ranching background we’d be happy assist you with any livestock planning you may have for your new ranch! Cheers.
