Hello
For sale is a Michael Hubbert chanter in C.
Beautiful piece of work. Ebony with brass key work. Stop key with E and Dnat keys*
Michael used palm nut (or vegetable ivory) for the mounts and you’d think it was genuine old ivory- its that lovely!
I have both reeds from Mike…..cane- which I prefer here in the Northeast (at least until the humidity goes south) and a spruce.
I did try the spruce, though I find it might take some getting used to . Its quite hard with a different timbre than I’m used to. Its not bad- just different. Michael prefers them for his flat pitched chanters. He says they play way better in drier conditions.
The Enat (Fnat?) is the old style “Wrap around”. I have never figured out how to put photos in C&F, but I will have some for any interested parties.
Reason I’m selling: Now comes the sad part..I had paid for this chanter when I still gainfully employed (20 years on the job and I get a visit from the Ghost of Christmas Corporate Downsizing. ah well……..) and I just don’t think I’ll be able to keep it, much as I am trying my best to do so. In short, though I’m not in a hurry to sell, I will do so for the price I paid ($1875US)
I’m not looking to make a profit- heck - I’m hoping I can figure out a way to hang onto it, but please PM, or email me if interested and I’ll get you some photos.
Lower 48 shipping would go USPS Priority insured.
International- we can discuss.
Thank you for looking

- Sorry..my brain keeps trying to put everything in concert pitch mode, so these should translate to the Fnat & Cnat on the concert pitch.
