Ya know, David, sometimes you are just NO fun to tease. :sniffle:

What sort of size holes? And just the original patent head?

drooling…sigh…

Pleeeze tel us more about it!

We want pictures, we want pictures, we want pictures!

The holes are large
And yes, “just” the original Patent Head.

Jim, i’m not sure how much more about I haven’t said.
Perhaps this: Some keys are stamped “RR” on the underside. Not unheard of, but not a common thing either.

I can publicly share a photo when the flute sells (and with the new owner’s permission). Until then, I’ll have to keep it limited to the inquiries of the serious buyer. Sorry, folks.[/img]

I can offer you a soul for this Flute…

Well maybe the millionare that buys it will let us see it before it goes into the vaults… :sunglasses:

hmmmm

now THAT’s an offer!

well

photo removed to avoid eBay pirates trying to sell it fraudulenly!

That’s a purdy flute!
Does it have a cut-out on the first joint?
I thought Nickolson just did that?

yes, it has the Nicholson cut-away.
Don’t forget that George Rudall was a student of Nicholson’s, so he surely picked up this idea there…
and R&R were notorious for “borrowing” the ideas of others, especially if a customer asked for it. There are several RR flutes with the “Nicholson” ergonomics.
This flute also has the cut-away for the RH thumb, although the holes are not flattened.
Either way, it’s a very comfy flute to the hands.

Damn, that IS a gorgeous flute. Looks a lot like Chris Norman’s.
