FS: A gaggle of fine whistles-REDUCED PRICES

Each one of these fine instruments has served me well in the professional arena over the years…some are newer than others, but all are still in fine playing condition - everything’s all there. Further details than what’s here may be obtained by PM or email. I would include pictures, except my camera’s been on the fritz and my laptop was recently stolen. :frowning:
Prices are pretty firm, as I’m selling them to help fund my new Grinter flute which is due in a few months!

Burke B natural in brass - $100
I got this a couple years ago on eBay - it was made around 2001. Today they go new for $170…SOLD

Burke low F in aluminum - $180
Brand-new as of around 2 months ago, still in perfect condition, plays great…SOLD

Burke Viper low D in aluminum - $240
Same as the low F, purchased at the same time - especially nice instrument…SOLD

Overton A non-tuneable - $120
I hate to let this go - purchased from Doc Jones a few months back, around 2 or 3 years old I think…SOLD

Overton BASS A non-tuneable - $250
Another eBay find - HUGE sound, though probably not for the small-handed…SOLD

Kerry Songbird high D tuneable - $100
Got this a few years ago and it just sparkles - one of the 3 high Ds I play regularly. Takes quite a bit of blow, but is very rewarding.

I’ve had a chance to hear Ben play a few of these whistles, and I would have to say they are all gorgeous sounding, nice instruments.

Ben, so sorry to hear about your laptop!

BTW, can’t wait to hear about the Grinter when you get it!

M

Thanks Mary! I’m stoked about the Grinter to say the least, though I’m really sad I’m going to have to put my Lehart up for sale…she and I have grown very close  I’m also stoked that the insurance is covering my stolen laptop, which I didn’t really like that much to begin with! Wheeeeeee!!! New toys!!! :stuck_out_tongue:

Bump …

Can’t believe these aren’t selling. If I had the extra cash the Burke B would be history! Plus, Ben is a great person to buy from … be there, done that – no problems!

The Overton Bass A is spoken for at the moment…everything else is still available!

What other keys would a B whistle play in? I’m interested out of pure WhOA.

B major, E major, F# minor, C# dorian, D# locrian, G# dorian - basically all the keys that could be played in on a D whistle, except transposed down a minor 3rd. Tasty.

Check your email Hornpiper

The Overton bass A is available again…someone snap it and everything else up!

Hey guys,

Ben is quite a nice person to do business with! I had a chance to hear the Bass A played. It has a great sound, indeed! Bernard is still turning out great whistles. Both octaves are pretty remarkable. Tone is very good.

If someone does not purchase this really soon I’ll start crying…seriously   . I wanted to grab this but I already have one  . Do Ben justice and snatch the whistles.

Lastly, I have played many Bass whistles and let me tell you that this (bass A) one is a real doozy.

Thanks

Tal

Edited because double post was by shear accident. Enjoy the week, Chiff!

Thanks again!

The Overton bass A and Burke Bnat have been sold…possible sale pending on the Viper low D. Everything else is still available! Come 'n get 'em!

The Overton Bass A, Burke Bnat and Viper low D are officially gone!

Buy Ben’s whistles! I bought the Burke B from him, paid for it Thursday with Paypal, and got it today! If I didn’t already have a Burke low F I’d buy that one too!

Thanks Jason…glad you like the whistle!

The Overton A and Burke F have been sold…someone snap up this beautiful Songbird!

The Songbird has been reduced to $100, which is a crime…what a great instrument!
