I’m selling a few chanters - all in good condition and all reeded.
Peter Hunter D wide bore (‘Banjo Blaster’) - I bought this about 4 years ago as an unkeyed chanter - since then I’ve had Sam make a wooden windcap & fitted 4 keys. From speaking to Peter it was made around 1990 and it hasn’t been altered at all other than the keys/windcap fitted. Currently got an Alan Burton reed in it & I’ll also dig out Sam’s reed to go with it. It’s ebony, brass and Ivory mounts. Because of these, it’s a G.B. only sale. Looking for offers around £850 (postage extra)
Alan Ginsberg B chanter - About 15 years old - Made from Cocobolo, brass & imitation Ivory. Cnat key fitted and key slot cut and hole drilled for Fnat. Reeded, plays well - Offers around £450.
Martin Preshaw unkeyed D chanter - Ebony & lighter coloured wooden mounts. Metal windcap - Nickel plated. No keys but blocks there for 4 keys (Cnat, Bflat, Gsharp & Fnat) - Has Martin’s original reed in it, plays very well, lovely hard D. £450
