Hi,
I would like to buy a Freeman Generation (alto G/A or low F) somewhere in Europe.
Anyone knows a shop?

Freeman low F, hhhmmm? Did I miss an announcement on that one?
Freeman’s eBay store says that they ship worldwide (with a few exceptions).
Big Whistle (UK) stocks some of his whistles.

I’m also curious about low F.. Already the G is what i feel one step to far using the Generation head. I do respect Jerry and his whistles, the Mellow Dog is a favorite, but the A and G .. well, not for me.
Sorry guys, who said Freeman tweaks F whistles?. My mistake.
Meanwhile i ordered a Chieftain F and a Goldie G. That will do i guess!
Also a Bb Tilbury ( under construction this very moment).
Here’s Colin Farrell, touring with Lunasa, after Thursday’s concert, trying out a Freeman tweaked alto A Generation (he kept it, along with a tweaked brass D Generation and the scarf Arleen gave him):
I simply bought directly from Jerry (two or three times - also the G and A), no problems at all with the process. There’s an ebay store, but for the whistles not listed there you can just email him at his address (in the signature of his postings, for example in this thread). And as mentioned in this thread already, Bigwhistle in the UK also stocks some Freeman whistles.
This Freeman whistles on Ebay mostly are sold from U.S.A. . The same ‘problem’ with lots of other whistles here on C&F.
I would suggest 2 separated sections for whistlesales making clear from the start make where the whistle/buyer is located.
You mean, like in our C&F profile - maybe filling out the “Location” section? See my avatar to the left.

It isn’t really a ‘problem’ is it? Except maybe the rising cost of postage from the US (I have seen whistle makers who charge between $40 and $60 for postage to Europe. They disqualify themselves immediately from consideration) but if a whistlemakers gives you the cheapest airmail rate it should be fine and you should have your whistles within a week or ten days (post seems also to have slowed down over the past year, rising cost and lesser service!). Still, no major problem.
Yes, exactly.. the postage is reasonable, and I ordered from Europe. I just checked my private messages, and the postage for two whistles, rather large G and A whistles, was only $8. But that was in late 2012, so USPS prices have probably gone up a bit, but only by a few dollars as far as I know (assuming Jerry is still using the same type of shipment option). It’s very feasible to buy directly from Jerry, even from Europe.

I just looked at a sample of one whistle in his ebay offerings, $12.75 P&P. That may be nearly double what it was a few years ago but that’s the way the US postal system has gone and what can you do? I wouldn’t think of it as a major deterrent if I had a whistle purchase in mind.
I dont know if it is the same in the rest of europe , but in Ireland anything over 22 Euro is subject to our famous VAT Tax at 21%.
The downside is the postage cost is also added to the price before the Vat Tax is calculated.
