For Trade: Tipple C, Bamboo D

I’m a huge fan of Tipple flutes, and also like Erik the Flutemaker’s bamboo flutes. So when I managed to pick up these two really cheap on eBay a few months ago, I jumped at the chance. But alas, I’m afraid they’re a bit much for my average-sized hands. I only have about $70 invested here. I’ll trade both for a Tipple Eb or one high-end or otherwise special whistle.

Tipple C - This is the full deal. Three pieces, offset holes, lip-plate and wedge. It’s the smooth PVC stock. Plays great, but it’s a stretch to that low D (actually C) hole. Lots of folks use the pinky, but I can’t get used to it. I just tend to put it down, and play my magic Tipple D instead.

Erik D - This sounds lovely, is well in-tune, and the stretch is not too bad. The holes are quite large, though. I use it for slow stuff, but haven’t been able to play it cleanly at full speed.

A bigger-handed person would enjoy these both a lot. PM me if interested.

Bump…
