Thanks for that video Rama, I really enjoyed it! However, I’m not half the artist he was, so I’m not entitled to more than half the drink…

All jokes aside, I do believe that his attitude towards liquor was quite different from mine, although I enjoyed his descriptions very much.
When it comes to me, I have a party mode (which only happens once or twize a month), an enjoyment mode (dinners and the like, usually once a week) and an appreciation mode (which happens the most often). When it comes to the appreciation mode, I couldn’t drink more than very moderately even if I wanted to because I wouldn’t be able to afford it considering the kind of whiskies I drink (and if I had more money, I’d just drink rarer and pricier whiskies). And I wouldn’t want to drink more because after a couple of glasses I wouldn’t appreciate it as much anyway.
So this might be a better description of my drinking: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ewoz4Xroabw

Yeah, I’m a nerd, especially when it comes to
whisky

It’s good to be Charles MacLean…

I’m also a long time taster of single-malt whiskeys… although I pretty much settled on Glenlivet some years back. There’s a small Waterford snifter that I use at home to enjoy its gentle honey-heather flavor.

Sigh… too early yet - best get my mind back on the projects.

Slainte!

Mm, yes The Glenlivet. I’m a big fan of the 16yo Nadurra. The 12yo is very nice as well but a little too vatted down.

And forgive me, I’m a nerd so I have to point out that The Glenlivet is not a whiskey, it’s a
whisky

Uisge Beatha, I calls it!
