For Sale: Busman High D - Sold

I purchased a beautiful Busman Kingwood D with the express purpose of owning one wooden whistle. I have kept it oiled and lovingly cared for, ever since. I have found that I play it very little. Most of my playing is done in front of audiences, where it is not convenient to give the whistle the care necessary for its needs, until hours after the performances. Therefore, I find I am simply not playing the instrument. I guess I am just not a wooden-whistle kind of guy.

Paul made an especially beautiful whistle in this one. There is a contrasting lighter area over part of the tone holes, and the brass sets off the Kingwood in a fine manner…The whistle sounds very even over its range, shifts well between octaves, and has no idiosyncrasies. Someone is going to have a fine whistle. The instrument is in mint condition, with minimal use. It needs a home, where it will be played…

Price is $170, including shipping, within the Continental US. New price from Paul is $250. Please PM me, if interested.

Byll, can you post a picture of the whistle?

Alespa: I wish I could. I do not have the facilities. The description is in my first post…It’s a unique beauty, because of the ‘flame’ design through some of the tone holes…
Be well.
