Anyone dealt with flutesonline.com? I’ve been looking at generic hard flute cases that can be converted to use on irish flutes and they seem to have decent selection and prices.

I had one run-in with them. I tried an alto flute that they had on consignment, and when it got to me, it was clear that it had been COMPLETELY misrepresented. I called them to tell them that I would be returning it for that reason (it was not silver, as it had been advertised to be, and it didn’t play well). They wanted to charge me a $40 trial fee and I told them that I didn’t want to pay it because I had specifically asked about the flute and they had fed me incorrect information. They argued that they were passing on the information given to them by the owner of the flute, and that they weren’t responsible for the misinformation. I told them, repeatedly, that my contract was with them, and they were absolutely responsible for what they advertised, and after about an hour of arguing, they agreed to pay shipping both ways. So, it was a hassle and I won’t order from them again, but with a flute case, I don’t think you can go wrong. Good luck.
