Flute on ebay - need an opinon.

I am thinking of purchasing this flute on ebay and wanted an opinion on the price. I live in NY and my uncle acutally lives in Boston. He took a trip to Salem and met with the girl selling the flute and tried it out for me. He said is plays great, but we don’t know how much to offer. It’s currently on ebay for buy it now $1850. She originally wanted a lot more, but keeps coming down.

Offer 12 and see what they say.

Certainly has worked its way down from the original $5995 asking price. Now it’s a Buy It Now for $1,600. Why would they ask the OP for $1,800? The fees for a successful eBay sale would cost the seller another $20 (if it was a free insertion listing) and about double for regular auction listing. $47 in PayPal fees. So, an off-eBay sale could be for $70-$100 less.

I don’t know about the comments on the other threads. It looks conical to me.

I am seriously giving it some consideration now that it is coming down in price - we’ll see what happens and thanks everyone!!!

It had an $1800 Buy It Now price earlier this afternoon. The seller seems to be lowering the price every few hours now.
