Looks like nickel mounts to me. Not much chance of a bargain here!

I believe that it is a cylindrical flute not conical. Not a bargain at all…

Hum. Seriously, stupidly over optimistic/greedy pricing! Very very similar (and about 240 earlier in serial numbers) to the one I did up last year for a friend, which now belongs to Calum Stewart who has had a bit more work done to it and a Bigio head made for it. It was a good player before… (See clip of it on my YouTube channel.) If this one plays at 440 it could well be excellent. The cylinder bore and Pratten style tone-hole arrangement actually worked very well on the one I dealt with and it had a stonking tone when working properly; a bit more open-voiced than a conoid flute, like a wooden Bohm really, as you might expect, but with open fingering effects and growl potential! Price aside, I wouldn’t be put off by the German Silver keys etc. either - these late RC flutes were still made to very high quality. It isn’t worth what a good conoid RC would be, and maybe not as much as a good example of a wooden Bohm flute by RC at A=440 (loads of HP ones around that aren’t worth much at all!), but I’d say that if it is at 440 and in good playing condition (discount the head crack - easily sorted) it should be worth at least £1500 to maybe £2K on playing grounds.
