On October 1, in conjunction with the 2005 East Coast Tionól [http://www.eastcoastpipers.com/](<http%3A//www.eastcoastpipers.com/), Mike McHale, http://www.east-durham.org/irishartsweek/index.htm ,will teach a day long workshop for flute and tin whistle at Furlong’s Pub in East Durham, NY. Mike is a popular teacher at the Catskill Irish Arts Week and is known for his vast repertoire of beautiful and unusual tunes. Registration fee for the workshop is $55 payable at the workshop. It is limited to intermediate and advanced students. The class will meet from 10 a.m. to noon and then again from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.. Students are welcome to participate in the other activities of the 2005 East Coast Tionól including sessions, concert (ticket price is separate), and general merrymaking from Friday night, September 30 through Monday morning, October 3, http://www.eastcoastpipers.com/details.html. Accommodations will be available at the Ferncliff House in the town of East Durham, as well as in other local venues. You may contact me for further information regarding the flute workshop. Hey gang, this is coming up soon, so make your plans to be there. You can’t go wrong with Mike McHale. His classes are fun, he’s a great guy and a great player and has a wealth of tunes to share. The Tionól is a blast, and the Saturday night concert is incredible.
