Where these came from: My wife and I purchased much of a collection which had been gathered by a gentleman who was, so far as I can tell, a private player, collector, and amateur instrument maker. My wife, who runs an easy early music session for recorder players, was interested in the recorders as lending instruments and the capped reeds for herself. We are selling the other parts which we won’t use.

Wooden flute with copper cap at closed end. Made from two pieces of wood glued lengthwise. Sounds as Low D whistle. Playable (I’ve heard one scale out if it), but in places it may be the outer finish which seals the glue joints. (My idea of what is playable got extended when a flutist from a Taiko group came to look at some of the instruments. She got remarkable sounds from things I thought were ornamental only, which she then purchased.) Price $4.00 Incremental shipping $1.00

Unknown brass fife 6-hole with raised embouchere. B flat Price $6.00 Incremental shipping SOLD

Aulos Fife, 7 holes, of which 3 are double holes. ABS plastic. Price $8.00 Incremental shipping $1.00
