fiddle for flute swap

Hello, I’m thinking of starting out on the Irish flute but am inundated with a houseful of instruments already. So, here’s an idea I thought I’d throw out there. Wouldn’t it be unbelievably great timing if there happened to be a flute player out there with too many flutes who is simultaneously considering giving the fiddle a go? On the odd chance that this happens to be the case, I have an Early American handmade instrument to swap. The maker’s name, penciled directly on the wood, reads: P. Pogel Midland N.J. 1934. The fiddle is in excellent condition without any cracks to the front or back. This fiddle is woody, mellow, with plenty of bass and loud enough to stand on its own at any jam session. It has the personality; volume and depth to be a great solo performing fiddle too. I paid $850 for the fiddle. I’m interested in keyless flutes, and am not terribly particular about the wood. Hey Jeff - if you haven’t done so already, you might want to post this on the flute board. Some flute board folks - I’m often this way - won’t look on any board other than the flute board for months on end…I just recently re-discovered the pub after being away for some time.

Good luck on you swap - I’m guessing you’ll find a taker…'bout time you decided to play a civilized instrument! :stuck_out_tongue:
