I have a brand new A. Rogge B chanter for sale that I just received from the maker. Plum wood, two keys (C and F), stop key, reed, tune-able back D. It’s never been played, and the reasons for my not being able to keep it are complex and circuitous, and include things like divorce, taxes, and illness. Fill in the blanks as you see fit, or send me a pm for details.

I agree with Kinch. Best pictures of a chanter I have seen yet. If I had the money I’d be all over this thing.

Not interested in seeing the holes/front of the chanter then I take it?

Ok, Ok. I appreciate the comments about the photos, as that is what i do. The holes were an oversight, but if you want holes I can give you holes, though one might assume given the source of the chanter the holes are there, and in the right places! :boggle:

Anyway, I dropped the price some, and would be willing to talk to serious prospective buyers (I was going to say “serious individuals,” but I know that those are in short supply around here!! :boggle: ) That said, thanks again for the grins.

Never take anything for granted.

I remember one Tionol, either in Rosslare or Bettystown (probably the latter), where a certain piper had gathered up four or five C chanters made by one maker and laid them out, side by side, on a table. Each and every one had the same hole(s) filled in and re-drilled in a different place.

Most who saw the display thought after one, or even two, it would have been clear something was awry.
