Exile

I am sorry to hear of your troubles.
I hope everything works out well.

On the bright side, it is nice to see the bonds pipers make above and beyond the music.

Joe, Thank YOU for the Chanter! I didn’t get home until 9:30 or so – but I was up until 2:30 a.m. playing tunes on that beast. I had to stop when my six year old daughter came downstairs and asked me to play Arthur McBride so she could sing along. I then looked at the clock and peed my shorts a little.

I am happy that the purchase/sale will help you on your way back to Florida — we were all hoping you’d stick around here another month or three so we could all share some tunes at the GNIPC November monthly meeting! Is a reed-making workshop still on the horizon?

“I probably shouldn’t have posted about it here but under the circumstances, I didn’t know what else to do.”

There are a lot of people that care about you here so its only natural to share here. Hang in there and for feck’s sake keep piping.

See you soon.

Patrick C.

I can’t say, I want to try and get south asap. The longer I remain up here without income, the further away my chances of getting home become.

Joseph,

Sorry to hear of this but know that you will
be able to pull thru it.

Take Care… Ed

Well Joe, if you’re going to be free and single you could be in worse places than St. Augustine! ( . Y . ) :astonished: The saga continues…

PD.

It is a very cool place, and considerably warmer than Minnesota.

Yes, but the people are warmer here. In a stoic, not-too-close kind of way

JES----I could’t imagine what this thread was going to be about and then when I saw, it really took me awhile to collect myself. I’m thinking about you and I can’t think what else to say right now.

My condolences. I thinks the others have said it all. Hang in there.

Excuse the side track:

With me, it was my playing the tin whistle and making her homesick!

Hang in there Joseph, finding a job can be tough.

Joseph,
I don’t know you very well, but you did make a reed for me right before you left for the North. The turn around time on the reed was super-fast and it played well right out of the box. For that I am eternally gratefull. If you need someone to participate in a covert operation to kidnap your dog, I’m in.

St Augustine is a VERY nice place to be free and single! You should visit sometime and see! I’m a cook at a local pub and it is VERY difficult to do my job because I’m always wanting to go talk to the ladies.

I’m sure Joe will make a full recovery in this beautiful and historic town.

Your offer is appreciated, but my boy is happy being with his momma unit and her parents look after him during the day. I cant offer him a good place, and where I plan to be living, there are kitties… he don’t like kitties… except, maybe, as a snack.

He’s in a good place. The nice thing is, I’ve been granted visitation privilages.

You might think otherwise when you meet the kitties. One of them is around 15-17lbs and not fully grown!

I’m glad you get visitation though.

My boy is a 70+ lb Bull Terrier, muscle upon muscle upon muscle. He is a sweet dog to friends and family, but he is really nasty to other dogs and absolutely ferocious to kitties… more’s the pity. :frowning:

To all concerned, I leave for Florida bright and early Friday morning. I ought to be back in reedmaking within 3 weeks or so. Wish me luck, I need it. Thanks.

Good luck.

Luck? We don’t need no stinking LUCK!

Go do what you have to do

Fel

and just when the weather is getting nice up here. . .

… my palms is gettin’ sweaty…

BTW, I will not have easy access to a PC for three weeks or so. If you need to, contact Nanohedron for help.

He also has contact info for me if it is absolutely urgent. Thanks.
