Here is one: http://cgi.ebay.de/Antique-French-Flute-BEUSCHER-PARIS-1850-C-and-D-Part-/230603511852
Cylindrical/Boehm unfortunately. But anyway, it’s simple system.

Looks like it has big holes and is conical? Still expensive but less so than the french one above which is a very pretty flute,
though the Zekley looks very much like a student flute to me?
I think there was a Clinton flute for India on ebay a few years back.
pat
A friend owns one that looks exactly like that cylindrical ebay one, with the short foot and in Eb. I was totally unimpressed…
I wouldn’t want one neither, but I remember that there was a thread a while back with a fellow asking for those flutes…so here we have one. ![]()
I have often wondered if one could put a keyless whistle-like tube on an used Boehm head. A low maintenance, light flute.
I have a metal low a simple system by the Flute Makers Guild London i will try and post some photos up.
That’s a truly fantastic idea, I’d love to see a picture of your metal flute. Thanks a million.
