Im sure I’m not alone in wishing that you wouldn’t constantly put up links to eBay auctions involving uilleann pipes. Some of us out here like to find a bargain, but your tip offs make this increasingly difficult. I was lucky to spot the Chris Bailey set as it had only been on for 12 mins. Made a nice tidy profit on them and put it towards the cost of a rather nice c# rogge set listed the same week.
I find it frustrating that BigDavy has found more of the E-bay deals than I have. It seems to me that the early bird get the first worm, and apparently Davy is an early bird. Sounds like you got lucky that you got to the Bayley set in the first few minutes (before Davy, and me!). I certainly would have bought that set if I would have seen it.
Hi ferris
I wouldn’t have bought the Bayley set anyway, as it is in D, so you were welcome to it.
I you want to do what I do paste (uilleann, uillean, uileann, uilean) into the ebay search box, make the search, set it to newly listed to sort it, then save the page in your bookmarks.
All you need to do then is click on the bookmark when you want to see what is available and when the page comes up, refresh it, and all the latest listings are at the top.

Here,s a set for you profit hungry bargain hunters to scrabble over, although you may find yourselves dealing with some kind of motorcycle club!
Pardon Our Interruption...
The set of pipes listed as a Crowley set is listed 7 different times, all separate auctions on ebay. Its the same seller as brynley listed above, but that auction has been removed. It says as soon as they get a buy it now buyer that the auction will be canceled. This has to be a scam and it looks like they make have already got one.
Big Davy. I actually like that you post what’s available out there on eBay. I’m not a fan of flipping pipes for profit. Although, I understand at times it needs to be done in order to position yourself to be able to get the set of pipes you truly want. You have my vote to keep listing your findings. Only 2 cents and nothing less.
crowley sets up for auction again…
I agree with stlcurtain6n5, I also like Davy posting links to interesting results of his ebay searches.
So, thanks Davy, and keep up the good work.

Dang! I knew I should have taken a lesson. No wonder I suck so bad at the scottish bagpipes. I’ve got mine set up all wrong!
Half Set with Peter Hunter Chanter
Translation: I’m selling my Uilleann Pipes Half Set. The chanter is a narrow bore D in Pockholz [lignum vitae?] and was made around 17 years ago by Peter Hunter. The drones are from the McNicholl workshop, the bag from Rogge, and the bellows from Hope. Sold as-is without guarantee. - Mod
D chanter in English holly with 2 keys.
The description mentions “the bottom end hole of the chanter is opened up some to bring the pitch up on the hard bottom D note.” Don’t know whether this means that the maker did this or whether it was a subsequent owner. Any potential buyer might want to clarify this with the seller.
Andy Faden D chanter - UK only.

The seller indicates that he’s willing to ship to North America.
Ended early by the seller.
