Hi all,
I have recieved my new Ward flute, and am swinging back into flute big time, I recently sold my Rose, and now want to trade my early Copeland nickel high D, stamped with Copeland Philadelphia and the shamrock symbol, the fipple is delrin and it has a band on the slide part which his new ones dont have, and a engraved groove at the foot, I have owned previously a silver/nickel/brass new copelands and this older one is very different the upper notes A and B if memory serves are a lot nicer on the ear, not to say the new ones are bad, it just I found them a little loud up there in the heavens, the whistle is also of a slightly thinner nickel which creates a very nice sweet tone, focused with little chiff, and again if memory serves its quieter than the modern ones, its in great condition and has no dents,
I will try and upload some picks later.

to the nitty gritty, I have been trying out various digital recorders and am looking to buy one so I thought I would offer the whistle up as a trade,
I am not after a multitracking machine as I made the mistake of buying a tascam pocketstudio 5, and it was way too complicated, I have been to my local Guitar shop in Brighton and the models that I find relativly easy
are
M-Audio Microtrack 2
Edirol RO9
not keen on the zoom H4 OR H2
if you have anything else let me know these are just the ones I have played with at the music shop
so if you were thinking of offloading a dig recorder e-mail me or PM
Copelands of this vintage dont come up often, I think I have only seen one previously, If there are no takers on a trade I may ebay it or offer it up on the board, not sure at what price though due to its rarety
