I’ve got a set of Border pipes with a drone switch, but it doesn’t stay ‘off’ too well. Seems to want to stay open all the time. Any ideas to remedy this? I’ve had mention to me that a little tallow on the switch shaft will help…hmmm…just make it sticky 'n stinky!!!
Tallow will serve to lubricate it and make it move freely which is the opposite of what you want
First suggestion would be to contact the maker for advice if possible
Can you describe how it works and if it passes through a cork seal. If this is the case then replacing the cork and using a smaller hole for the actuating rod should give enough friction
