because I want a new pipe.
But his website is closed…
Does he still male the pipes?
Please tell me information
How is generally the reputation of his pipes?

I have sent a number of messages to the email addy listed to inquire about his Low Whistles and pipes. They always come back as “user unknown”.

Now onthe the subject at hand, unfortunatly, I don’t think Davy is still making pipes, and those he did make, well lets just say that Davy’s pipes don’t have the best reputation (in fairness to the man, he does spend most of his time touring and stuff like that I suppose).
I see you are in Kobe, I’m in Yamagata, (yukiguni!!!) should you find yourself in Tohoku, drop by for a tune! (nihongo wa daijobu!)

A few friends of mine were playing traditional/American old time music at Universal Studios near you for the past two years. They are back here in Los Angeles now.
Do you know a guitar player named Peter Damashek from San Diego? He plays at sessions down there (not 100% where) and also plays banjo. If you see him tell him I said “Howaya!” he’ll get a laugh out of that

One thing to help you decide on a pipemaker is the ability to easily reach them by phone or e-mail when you need advice or parts.
To be honest I don’t have many problems with my reeds here. (Except for regulators). There is a lot of snow in winter, but summer is so hot, they have kind of adjusted to it without any interference from me. (Don’t ask me how - wakaranai!) So which reed did you break? I’ll be going to Ireland next month so let me know if I can get one for you,

I met a Japanese young lady at the Uilleann pipe day at the Irish Arts Center. I mentioned you and told her to check this board to contact you. She was in on of the intermediate classes. The event was yesterday and we had 4 world class pipers leading classes and doing a recital after the classes.
Ivan Goff, Jerry O’Sullivan, Seth Gallagher (reed making) and Cillian Vallely was the host.
Mattie Connelly performed a set and Tom Downes a local teacher of both Highland and Uilleann pies attended

I knew from my friend about Japanese uilleann pipes lady.
Last year When “EILEEN IVERS BAND” came to Japan,I talked Ivan Goff.
He also has the Alan Froment pipes.
The reply came from D.Spillane.
It costs 7500 pounds to get him make pipes.
I cannot buy it.

Higezura, now that you’ve established that a Spillane set is outside your price range, you should enquire about other pipemakers who may give better value while still making top-quality instruments. But you should also enquire about how long you will have to wait, and be prepared for the actual delivery to be delayed.

I have been to Japan many times for tournaments, but did not see many Uilleann Pipers there!!!
