Has anyone seen or heard from Dionys lately ?
He was a frequent poster on C&F as well as the Heatnet forum but it’s been a few months since he’s posted anything.
I’ve e-mailed him with no response.
Problems in Athens, perhaps?
I too have been wondering…I posted a private email question to him a while ago and have not heard back. Maybe taking a long break from the electronic piping world?
Hopefully he’s on hiatus, worst case computer problems… I would hate to think it’s more serious than that. I’ve always enjoyed his comments to the forums he frequented.
I would guess that Dionys will get back into it this winter. He probably just has seasonal conflicts. I saw one of his posts on the U-LIST not long ago. Maybe he’s vowed to making his own uilleann pipes and consumed in a big project.
Another poster piper I haven’t seen for quite a while is Steve Turner. His Alain Froment pipes and playing were excellent…I could use some more of his sound clips on “Snips.”
