Hey, did I mention that I was one of the first ever to buy David’s CD right off the shelf? I stumbled into Dublin’s Claddagh record store the day it came out (12 March or so). The CD was played when I came in.. was totally blown away. Thank you, David.
It strikes me that David’s C set represents a true collaborative effort: Alain’s consumate pipemaking skills and David’s insitefull reedmaking abilities.

Elliot Grasso came over to the shop afew years ago with his lovely sounding Rogge set to the sheer delight of my then 2 year old son. I admitted that I don’t play the pipes around the house, to which Elliot commented, “No, I don’t suppose you’d want to SCAR him.” Well, I still don’t play the pipes at home much, but as a responsible parent, I recognize the need for my boy to get his reccommended daily allowance of trad, so I’ve kept “My Love Is In America” playing in the kitchen for the past 3 months. The kid doesn’t know it, but it’s all sinking in. And I couldn’t hope for a better influence on him than David. Thanks, Mr. P!
