I have found what I think is excellant bamboo for making flutes. My only problem is that I’m getting the bamboo on the hoof, so to speak. I’m up here in northern California where it’s dry and hot. The first piece of bamboo I harvested is now starting to crack.
Does anyone have any tips on who to keep this stuff from cracking as it dries? I could probably bring it inside if that would help.
