I have been dying to learn now to play a crystal flute for ages. I don’t own any others, but I finally got a crystal flute. I am a musician and keyboards/ piano are my primary instruments next to my voice. It takes a little adjustment, but it sounds beautiful.
I am sorry if this is an inappropriate forum for crystal flutes, but I thought I would drop by and say hi.

You should be forewarned, that once you start on this dark path of flute-i-ness, there is no returning.
Once the bug has attached itself to your soul,
you will yearn for more - richer, darker sounding flutes.
Your body will ache for that bark that your current flute can’t give you.
You will beg the heavens for relief from the torment of poorly tuned octaves.
And then you will buy more flutes.
And then you will buy more flutes.
And then … I think you get the picture.
*tongue firmly planted in cheek, I assure you …
And when you have no money, you will build them out of PVC, like me.
Welcome. We ain’t not picky about the kind of flute you play, though some people won’t like it if you try to discuss the classical flute here. Were naught but simple six hole people here (and maybe up to five keys… and mabey more…). Still, you could probable even get a discussion about that.
PS. I had my digestive tract replaced with crystal piping, it’s facinating to watch.
That’s precisely what I’m afraid of. The place I bought my Hall Crystal Flute from is “moving out of folk music” and more towards celtic nice for people on this board it seems and it has those flutes on sale for HALF OFF! I’m seriously debating going back and getting the deeper toned D that I saw there. There are 3 left. And 2 smaller ones, a C and D. So I got this one, a middle of the road G, for $32.50. And the large ones, which usually retail around $80 are like $40. Seriously am thinking of going back tomorrow.

Hey thanks for the offer. But I couldn’t pass up the deal I was getting from a local struggling retailer. They were taking huge hits on their crystal flutes and I couldn’t pass it up.
