It’s been almost 6 months since totaling the car and breaking my arm. I still can’t play the strings and struggle to cover the whistle holes. The cast is off and therapy has begun. Meanwhile harmonica has become my primary tune maker and supporting vets (I’M one) my cause.
So here is my commercial:

I donate my time and talents to a private non profit local organization that focuses on the reconstructive benefits of developing artistic abilities in military veterans.

I have taken all the whistles from the Art Center store and am offering them at a good price for a good cause to folks who appreciate their merit rather than seeing them only by locals as items in a gift shop.

I won’t get anything from their sale; however the transaction will be the same as a regular whistle purchase from my website http://praisewhistlers.org/mackhooverwhistles/MackHooverWhistles.html
You make a donation here https://www.crowdrise.com/mackhoover
And order from me by email.
I know there will be lots of questions so fire away!

So which whistles at what price for this charitable effort? Or did I miss a special section on your web site?

And as a vet, I appreciate your efforts.

Best wishes.

Steve

The whistles are on the donation site.

I can put them here, but you still have to make the donation at the site otherwise it won’t automatically get to the cause and won’t count on my goal.

The Crowdrise site is a bit tricky to navigate. The direct link to the whistles is here. The brass-bodied A whitecap is gone…

At the bottom of the page click on “next” for some neat looking whistle stands, also made by Mack.

Best wishes.

Steve

I have added some ski pole walking stick whistles to the operation revamp veterans cause.

The composite/brass Bb whistle is taken and heading my way!

I’m posting here to bump up the thread. The funds raised go to a very good cause, plus you get a really nice whistle in exchange!

I am a regular client of Mr. Hoover and I can definitely vouch for the quality of his work.

Just a bump. Some good whistles at a good price for a good cause.

Best wishes.

Steve

Hi Mac,

Sorry to hear about the broken arm!
Hope it’s all mending OK?

I still have the Blacktop you made for me years ago - and I still use it a lot - many thanks!

Mac’s Whitecap on a Feadog brass body is one of his best kept secrets. Truly marvelous whistle.
Best to all.

And they’re being sold at a discount price to benefit a worthy cause. Good whistles, cheap, good cause—what’s not to like?

Best wishes.

Steve

Agreed! Claimed the whitecap on feadog D .

Just a bump. Still some good whistles available and a great cause.

The whitecap I claimed arrived and plays excellent.

Thanks Mack!
