I am still making whistles but with the economy it’s slow.
Making and restoring banjo style instruments is my newest obsession.
If you do Etsy I am makeover17

I have put a wide bore brass low G on Ebay. It was a custom order that wasn’t claimed so it’s up for the taking. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230385807633&ssPageName=ADME:L:LCA:US:1123
Just for fun my starting price is the same as the final price on my first Ebay whistle 11 years ago. No reserve of course.

Please take note of the changes I’ve made in the sale list.

Well, this is good timing. I have been back on this forum for only a few days after a very long time without a computer and here I find a posting by my favorite whistle maker.

[For any new players out there, Mack’s whistles are an amazing value. Check older posts to see the high regard both Mack and his instruments have with people here at C&F.]

But I need to get down to business. Mack, I might be interested in that low G, but it looks different from your usual work. How would you say it compares sound-wise with your other whistles in the same key?

“How would you say it compares sound-wise with your other whistles in the same key?”

It is as loud or louder than any of my other low G’s because of the wide bore. It is heavier than all the others as well. It does have a nice resonance with just a hint of growl.

Come on over for a visit!

Forgot to get back on eBay to adjust my bid and missed out. The whistle didn’t go for as much as I was expecting, so someone got a nice deal.

Your stringed stuff on etsy is neat, Mack!
I like the idea of a Turkish Uke.

Sale is all done thanks everyone!
