Nonwhistle instruments:

Translucent blue Yamaha recorder - $6, $2 shipping or no charge with another item

Kaen - 16 inches, and I suspect not pro quality. But interesting nonetheless, and I bet it’d be fun to disassemble it and see how it worked. $18, $4 shipping. Photo</a](http://www.rit.edu/~eeg6662/liq/hawaiianwhistle.jpg">Photo</a)> (commentary not by me)

Native American Flute - $225 shipped and insured, or make an offer. Aromatic Cedar, six-hole. Photo](http://www.rit.edu/~eeg6662/liq/flute1.jpg%22%3EPhoto) 1. Photo](http://www.rit.edu/~eeg6662/liq/flute2.jpg%22%3EPhoto) 2. Photo](http://www.rit.edu/~eeg6662/liq/flute3.jpg%22%3EPhoto) 3. Photo](http://www.rit.edu/~eeg6662/liq/flute4.jpg%22%3EPhoto) 4

Ceramic G flute - $70 shipped/insured. This flute is really cool, I got it at a craft show in Rochester NY. Several years ago it fell and cracked in half but I repaired it and have never had any problems with it. You can see the crack line if you look for it, it’s at the top of the top finger hole. Photo</a](http://www.rit.edu/~eeg6662/liq/CeramicFlute.jpg">Photo</a)>. It’s got a kokopelli on it at the top.

Small Andean panpipes - $20

Whistles:

Little Black Walton whistle with a nicely in-tune Cnat hole created in the back. $14 shipped.

Susato two piece Kildare Bb: SOLD - Photo</a](http://www.hostinginseattle.com/bethftp/cf/susatobb.jpg">Photo</a)> - A wonderful Bb whistle, one of my favourites and I normally don’t care for Susatos. This one is a ‘small bore’ as opposed to the more common medium bore.

Two Hoover Brass Ds: $50 each, shipped - Photo</a](http://www.hostinginseattle.com/bethftp/cf/hooverbrasspair.jpg">Photo</a)>

These two Hoover whistles are fantastic and like new. I got them when I visited Mack’s workshop for the first time. One is a regular bore D, with a small inscription on the back of the tuning slide. (Mack’s given me the OK to sell it, since I need the money for school.) The other is a narrow bore D. The narrow bore is slightly different than Mack’s usual offerings, because the material it was made from was from a slightly heavier and thicker batch. It has a good solid weight to it.

Hoover Arrow D whistle: $60 - Photo](http://www.hostinginseattle.com/bethftp/cf/Hooverarrowwhistle.jpg%22%3EPhoto) 1 - Photo](http://www.hostinginseattle.com/bethftp/cf/Hooverarrowwhistlecloseup.jpg%22%3EPhoto) 2

Bet you’ve never seen one of these before! It’s a working D whistle made out of a couple of standard metal arrows. Mack can make a whistle out of anything! This thing will hit second octave if you breathe too hard, and the first octave is like whispering. It’s the coolest thing. Mack’s given me permission to sell it in light of my university ambitions.

Silkstone set: SOLD - Photo</a](http://www.hostinginseattle.com/bethftp/cf/Silkstonewhistles.jpg">Photo</a)>

This lot includes two very nice Silkstone whistles, a C and D (one head) and a custom case.

I got these whistles from Livethe Question last year. He said he had them made to be slightly quieter than a normal Silkstone. I’ve been using the D at many sessions. I absolutely love the sound but can’t justify the money at the moment.

Silkstone tshirt - $25 shipped

Silkstone T-shirt XL, very cool and not seen very often! Shirt](http://www.rit.edu/~eeg6662/liq/silkstonetshirt1.jpg%22%3EShirt) front and back</a](http://www.rit.edu/~eeg6662/liq/silkstonetshirt2.jpg">back</a)>.

Copeland Low D: SOLD including custom hard-sided carrying case with shoulder strap. Photo](http://www.hostinginseattle.com/bethftp/cf/copelandbrass.jpg%22%3EPhoto) of whistle - Photo](http://www.hostinginseattle.com/bethftp/cf/cases.jpg%22%3EPhoto) of case

sniff I can’t believe it’s come to this. This whistle has been the capstone of my collection for nearly two years. A two piece Copeland brass low D, this whistle instantly cured me of Low WhOA. Serial](http://www.hostinginseattle.com/bethftp/cf/copelandserialnumber.jpg%22%3ESerial) number 2256 with a cool and unusual little shamrock</a](http://www.hostinginseattle.com/bethftp/cf/copelandshamrock.jpg">shamrock</a)> etched on the front, this whistle has been well cared for and freshly polished. The tuning slide, like the rest of the whistle, is in excellent condition.

In February 2003, the tune Dallas](http://www.hostinginseattle.com/bethftp/cf/Dallas_Skies_-_Ava_Copeland_Feb_03b.mp3%22%3EDallas) Skies was composed and recorded on this whistle.

New, a brass copeland low D currently goes for $475 with a one to two month wait. But you wouldn’t get the hard case with a new one, you’d get a soft cloth case. This case can handle airport travel with no problem, as I’ve brought it on four flights and never encountered any issues.

Welcome back Ava!!!

Thanks Az! Hey shoot me an email sometime, let me know how you’re doing.
