i’m just learning to play Baidin Fheidhlimidh (from Clare McKenna’s book); thanks for the videos.

cheers,

Thank you for the compliment Eric.
The tune Baidin Fheidhlimidh is sung by Sinead O’Connor on her CD ‘‘Sean-Nos Nua’’. It is easy to play along with. The words are also printed on the liner notes and is a song about a small boat.

I’d like to chime in how much I like Tommy’s whistles. I have a white 3 piece low D and a teak high D. Both wonderful whistles at a great price. The low D has a slight “breathiness” and a low “flutiness” to it (not sure of the right ITM words for that), and is a bit quieter than my metal low Ds. A real pleasure to play. The high D is also just a little softer than some other wood high Ds I have. I took both to London last summer and played in my flat seemingly without bothering the neighbors…I think…
Best,
Jaydoc
