I’m getting so stoked, y’all…Saturday morning we drive down to L.A. and Sunday we board the cruise ship for Mexico! I still can’t quite get over how this just kind of fell in our laps, but I’ll take it!

Make sure you go snorkelling-- there are some really nice reefs off the Yucatan peninsula quite close to the shore. Use LOTS of sunblock: you’re much closer to the equator down there. Above all , have a ball..
PS-- on our honeymoon, my wife and I found some, shall we say “unusual” anatomically shaped whistles in a small town down the coast from Cancun… I didn’t have the courage to blow one… :stuck_out_tongue:

Nothing so exotic for this bobcat, but I’ve officially started my Thanksgiving vacation. It usually starts with doing a major house-maintenance project, but my wife isn’t ready for me to paint the guest room and refinish the floor. Bummer. So it’s all making beer, bread, baklava, candy, and cookies in preparation for the traditional family gathering. It doesn’t get much better than this, especially with a 3-year-old who’s into making cookies.

We’re going easy on the sweets at my house. But we’re making snowmaids tomorrow out on the rocks to look back at the house. Dune grass for hair, mussel shell necklaces. Tell you what, you send me some baklava and I’ll ship you a snowmaid. :laughing:

I wish I could go snorkeling, Paul, but I don’t really swim well enough at all. I can flounder to the side of the pool if I fall in, but that’s about it. I’ll have to leave that to my husband and daughter. :sniffle:

I’m only bringing one whistle on this trip, and since it’s my newest and hasn’t been on a trip yet, I’m bringing the Syn. My husband’s already referring to it as “the cruise whistle” :laughing:
