I’ve removed the hold on my Copley. The local person decided not to purchase it because of other expenses. So, it’s still for sale.
I’ve decided to sell my Copley 6-key because I’m playing my John Gallagher Rudall 6-key whenever I want keys. (The Gallagher has slightly smaller holes and a smaller spread that fits my hand better.) I also have a Rod Cameron traverso on order that I need to fund! Please help a flutist with acquisition disorder, by acquiring this one yourself!
The Copley flute is blackwood, with a nickel-silver-lined head. The rings are sterling silver. No cracks. Made in 2004. It DOES have a slightly off-set 3rd hole (the G hole) that I had done for ergonomic reasons. It is only offset by a couple of millimeters, so it should not be hard to get used to. (I have switched back and forth between this flute and my flute with in-line holes with no problem.) The G hole is slightly shifted away from the player.
The flute has a full, dark sound, that is capable of various colors.
I’d like around $1750 (new price), plus shipping. I’d prefer to ship only to the USA or Canada. Money orders or bank checks only.
If interested, send me a PM.
I forgot to say it comes with a plastic pistol case.
The flute has a full, dark sound, but is capable of a variety of tone colors.
I’m technologically challenged, and using a computer with a very slow dial-up connection, so I can’t post pictures. (I may check on Monday at the school where I teach to see if our computer teacher can help me with this!)
My Copley’s still for sale. (See the top message for details.)
This is a great flute with no problems at all. Tuning is spot-on. It’s been babied–oiled and humidified year round in my rubbermaid box. It needs a good home!
I should add that I have some close-up photos of the Copley I can send by snail mail to seriously interested parties. Unfortunately, my own computer broke last week and I don’t have the capability (or the know how) to post pictures here at school. I’m only able to check my PM’s and e-mail here at school since my computer’s demise.
