Hi everyone,
I have a new set coming, so it’s time to sell my current chanter, bag, bellows, and drones. The chanter is a concert D by Tim Benson–it is Cocobolo wood with four brass keys (Cnat, Fnat, G#, Bb), and brass top and integral mounts (continuous with wood) giving it a cool old-world appearance. I recently had the maker make a new reed for it (included) and improve the tuning. There is currently a short rush in the bore installed by Tim and a movable tuning sleeve on the back D put on by me. Drones are by Eugene Lambe and are blackwood with brass and imitation ivory mounts. Bellows are brand new, recently ordered from C.J. Dixon. They are made of cherry and are airtight, double gusseted, with a Celtic knot engraving. Not sure what make the bag is–seems airtight with no problems. I recently retied it at the blow pipe. No issues at the moment, but due to the onset of winter and dryer air, the set may need some tweaking when you get it to ensure joints are tight (you know, the usual)
I am asking $2500. I will try to get pics up soon. Feel free to message me with any questions.
Thanks, Nathan
