A note from a local piper.
For sale: Seth Gallagher C nat drones (African blackwood, artificial
ivory trim and brass fittings) with bag, bellows, and Seth’s heavy
duty hard case. Less than two years old, in excellent condition and
playing well. $1700 plus shipping/insurance. I prefer to hold onto the
matching Gallagher C chanter, but will consider including it for a
total of $2500 plus shipping/insurance.

This is a really nice set. I love the chanter. The reed is well balanced, plays well with drones, and is drivable yet not at all difficult to get to the second octave….even to the very high d! The drones are mellow and relatively quiet…a nice complement to the chanter. I have tuned the set to the prevailing Nashville midwinter climate and it sounds great. The bag and bellows are airtight. At $2500 it is a great deal compared to the price of the new sets. I think this is about what was paid for the set.
