I’ve seen a couple of Pakistani chanters recently that kind of work. It seems that the younger staff in these instrument making factories are making efforts to improve their instruments because they’ve realised that they could make more money making stuff that actually works.
They have access to plenty of data and skilled tool makers so we’ll see what they turn out.
They still lack a few necessary skills to be a good pipes maker. One is being a good piper. The have staff there making reeds that would work if they knew what they’re supposed to do
