I was just thinking this morning if it were possible what I would
really like this Christmas, no problem there, a set of Uilleanns in Concert D made by no other than Johnny Burke, if only, Wish, to play along side
Davy spillane see how good he really is, I’m sure some of you Guys will have your own thoughts and wishes as Christmas closes in.
Yeah.., paying the bills and STILL have money for food.

But if someone could tell me if the thought behind christmas changed along the years from caring for others (which you should do all year long and not 2 days a year) into getting as much stuff as you possibly can.

Rick, such a cynical view of the festive season. Christmas has little to do with it. This has always been a time of feasting, fun and frivolity. Excess is surely the name of the game. I want a new workbench and more tools and more power and …

I just wish people would stop posting stupid Xmassy icons like on this thread.
I don’t know what Christmas you celebrate, but the one I celebrate is about being with family and the joy of sharing with each other, not about getting the most loot. Both the giving and the getting are fun, and the being with the family I love is the best part of it all.
On the other hand, I agree about the Christmassy icons
