Sort of. While I was at the muster in Deep River, no less than 5 or 6 people came up and asked me if I was Jim_Mc. It took me until the fourth one to stop being shocked. They all recognized me from my aviator photo!
Aside from the thrill of being recognized, I’m also pleased to have discovered that there are a bunch of fifers (and at least one fife maker) lurking on C&F.
Which reminds me. I’ve been meaning to ask you for a long time …
