Well, I have to tell somebody.
No one else would have the slightest idea what I’m talking about. I tweaked 31 whistles today. All Sweetones. Yesterday was my next biggest whistle tweaking day thus far, two Shaws and five Sweetones.
I know Thomas-Hastay could build 50 whistles from scratch in a day if he wanted to work 16 hours straight, but I’m talking about tweaking a mass produced whistle.
Most likely, Cillian O’Briain holds the tweaking record with his improved 'dogs. I guess the only way we can call what I did a record is if they make separate categories, so I can go for the Sweetone tweaking record and he can have the Feadog and overall records. One of these days, matey. Just you watch out. I’m on your heels.

I’m really getting a kick out of this.
I’ve gotten some nice feedback from folks who’ve bought the whistles off of eBay. It’s gratifying that I’m having something to do with introducing a few people to whistling. I include the C&F web address in the note I put with each whistle. A couple of people have emailed that they’ve visited the site and enjoyed it a lot. Sooner or later, I expect a few of them will show up here.
