I recently bought a Chieftain Eflat from the Bargain Basement at Lark in the Morning & I love love love it.
I thought I was buying a one-of-a-kind item, since the description says “shopworn and play[sic] a little flat.” But now I see it’s still listed, so there must be more. So I thought I’d alert anyone who might be interested!
Mine doesn’t play flat at all (so I suppose the next one, which you may buy, might be. ..?) At any rate, it is SO easy to play compared to my other low whistles (which are all D’s–Howard, Shaw, & Becker), and sounds beee-you-ti-ful.
I paid 90.00 + shipping for mine b/c in May everything was 10% off. Now it’s listed as 100.00, and in the US you’d have to pay I think 12.00 for shipping. It would be worth it, though!
It’s probably the weird key that makes it so inexpensive. I love it nonetheless.
I just thought someone might want to check it out.
