UP’ers,
This coming Saturday and Sunday the 17th & 18th the Chicago Irish Pipers will be part of Chicago’s Celtic Fest. As we have the past few years, there will an Uilleann Pipe Stage. Here is the line up:

We have Tim Britton and Tommy Martin coming in from Iowa and Missouri. Elliot Grasso from Baltimore. And we are happy to be blessed with all of our Chicago Irish Pipers. A fine tradition going back to Chief O’Neill.
Fado, we used to be the only midwest tionol and we ran that in conjunction with the Celtic Fest. Now with St. Louis, Detroit, and Minneapolis having tionols, we decided to go tionol light. On Saturday morning at 9:00 am we will offer some free tuition and rudementary repairs onsite in the Uilleann Pipe tent which is just south of Jackson on Columbus. All are welcome. Besides the UP Tent, there are stages for Dance, Spoken Word, Ceili Dancing, Harp, A Bagpipe Circle for GHB’s and two main stages.
Chicago Celtic Fest website is as follows, but you will have to cut&paste. Now remember upipers, that is different from a cut&tap:

(Only the great city of Chicago with their patronage army of programmers could produce such a long website address. They must get paid by the letter.)
Admission is free and there will be Guinness, other beers and food for sale. I hope to see you there. I will be at the UP Tent all weekend. Come up and introduce yourself.
Failte,
