This is L.E. McCullough, and I’ll be teaching a whistle workshop (as will Joanie Madden) at the big annual North American CCE Convention in Parsippany, New Jersey, April 15-18, just west of New York City. About 1,000 Irish musicians, singers, dancers take over a major hotel and jam non-stop for 4 days; it’s a blast, and there are scores of amazing sessions around every corner. If anybody reading this is within a couple hundred miles, it’s worth the trip.
You can take individual workshops without having to sign up for the whole 4-day convention. My workshop is 10 a.m.-noon Saturday April 17; Joanie does the p.m. slot at 2.
Yo LE! I plan on being there even though it means a 3 hr schlep down the thruway and back again.
Folks, LE AND Joanie in one day ! It don’t get much better. The cost is $20 for each session=$40 for an amazingly good day of musical learning.
I’d love to meet some of the people from the Chiff board-- look for the guy pictured at the left, playing a wooden whistle or two…
Good! You’re 'bout an hour from my house, I’ll grab my gear and go there. (assuming if I’m here in NJ, I might be sent somewhere else, if that’s the case, bummer…)
