Goodness, that really is a very striking photo. The castle looks like it is made of red-hot metal. And how amazing to see the outline of the entire moon—you can really understand where the light is coming from…er, I think I sort of do anyway.

there are moments… 
Cynth, are you referring to the outline of the entire moon? The dark side is illuminated by light reflecting back to it from the earth. It’s aptly called “earth shine”. And is visible to the unaided eye just about all the time the moon is in phase and not washed out too much in the glow of twilight.
