Sigh of relief ~ I’m not the only one…
At least, I took the boys to see Harry Potter, so that killed some of my time (it was actually a very enjoyable movie!)

I claim the most distress over the temporary loss of the board. My Imac’s in the shop, I’m driven to use the upstrairs PC and the internet moves at a crawl on that computer. Not that I’m dissing PCs . . . it’s more of a software thing that I don’t want to tinker with.
I miss my Mac.

I have a dell, got 1giga ram, 250giga harddisc, a dsl modem. a fast baby..
Not a problem at all. I just bounced on over to Gaelic Crossings and spent time over there. Does that make me even more addicted since I have multiple sources of access?
Only drawback was a whistle transaction that was pending over here. No problem now, all is well.

When it’s the second time it’s happened in the past couple weeks, you wonder if evil external forces are not at work. Probably the Dept. of Homeland Security searching the Political Thread.
I also popped over to Gaelic Crossings and it’s funny when one of the main threads has become “C&F is down again”. Even funnier when Dale comes over to GC to reassure us that the problem is being taken care of.
We hear rumors from time to time that the current hosting service for C&F may not be available much longer… How big a deal would it be to get a server and have someone host it for us? I’ll bet if we had a raffle, members could raise enough for a server, and with the computer knowhow amongs some of us, we could run the thing . Any comments?
Well, gee. We have perfectly friendly relationship with GC. GC folks would certainly be welcome at C&F if the situation were reversed.

…yes, I dearly missed the forums yesterday as well! I work at locally-owned bookstore, so there’s quite a bit of time here and there to waste, and I usually spend that time on the forums here at C&F. But, since it was down yesterday, I actually did some WORK…
I mentioned the website to my dad (who is also an avid whistle player), and go figure that yesterday was his first time visiting C&F 
…I’m sure he’ll be back!! I called him to make sure… 
Yes, we even created “political” and “cutie pie” threads to accomodate the C&F people!
