Bulk whistles

A professor of mine has asked me about buying whistles in bulk. She plans to stock some in an upcoming “language, dance and music lab” she’s building. I’ve looked into Feadogs (my personal choice), but wanted to look into Generations as well, for good measure. I do not want to get Megs or Sweetones. Anyway, does anyone know where I could get my hands on some bulk whistles?

Contact The Whistle Shop. They can probably help you.

Here is a price list directly from Clarke Whistles. (I was curious so I emailed them a few months ago)

Clare whistles are listed in bluk on ebay sometimes.

I’ve also seen Feadogs in bulk on eBay as well. They’re sold out of the UK so the shipping is a little high.

Every year I buy between 30 and 75 whistles in a single bulk order from Thom at the Whistle Shop. He’s very accommodating! I choose to buy Sweetones simply because I find their sound to be uniform (there’s consistency in voice and tuning across the entire batch). Last year I ordered a set of 75 Megs for the first time to save some $, but I’ll be moving back to Sweetones this year because I found that pre-teens can move those Meg heads (unglued!!) far too easily.

Anyways, give Thom a shout.

Jef

I’ll third the suggestion to talk to Thom at The Whistle Shop. We have done several bulk purchases with him for educational purposes. He’s always been great to deal with!

Mark

Should you be posting that here? Just asking.

Clarke provides trade pricing pretty freely…they sent me much the same information last year on a simple inquiry. I think at the time the minimum purchase to qualify for trade pricing was £50

David Le Bas (Clare whistles) was great to deal with, and the whistles netted out to less than $5 each, shipping included. After minor tweaking for about an hour, we had 47 good whistles and 3 losers. I was thinking of going with Feadogs for the next set, but Jeferson’s experience with Sweetones is making me think twice.
